A closer look at the result shows that other income grew by 178.95% which was as a result of other interest income that grew from 84605.35% from #186thousand to #157.5million same period in 2016.
This with other income heads combined to make revenue of #2.1billion against #1.8billion in 2016.

However, the total expenses jumped to #717.8million from 452.9million in 2016 by 58.63% as a result of staff cost and general administrative expenses that grew by 33.03% and 96.39% respectively. The company needs to watch this expenses going forward to have a good 2017. Since the Company was only able to moderate its incomes without major spikes.

It is worthy to note that the shareholders fund declined by 9.15% this was as a result of dividend paid during the period. A total of #3billion was paid in dividend in the first quarter of 2017.

As I mentioned in my February 17, 2017 post that the first quarter would tell a lot about what to expect from this stock.  A 14% growth in revenue quarter on quarter for 2017 should provide a rallying point for bargain Hunters.

The stock lost 3.45% by the close of trading session today 19th April, 2017 to close at #2.80k. I belief after a careful analysis of the result by the Market, the stock should pick up.
